Ingredients

---Soaking Syrup---
cup Water
cup Granulated sugar
¼ cup Fresh lemon juice, strained

Directions

Pour the water into a 1½ quart saucepan. Add the sugar; stir to blend; then bring to a boil over medium heat. Remove from heat and cool. Pour into a container with a lid and refrigerate up to 6 months.

Combine the Soaking Syrup and lemon juice in a liquid cup measure. Set aside.
