Mini spam and cheese buns

Ingredients

1 Loaf frozen bread dough - (16 oz); thawed
1 can Spam luncheon meat - (12 oz); shredded
cup Shredded Monterey Jack cheese
2 teaspoons Dill weed
1 Egg
1 tablespoon Water

Directions

Cut bread dough in half lengthwise; cut each half into 12 pieces. In bowl, combine Spam, cheese, and dill; mix well.

Place about 1 tablespoon of Spam mixture in center of 1 piece of dough.

Shape dough into a ball; place on greased baking sheet. Repeat with remaining dough pieces. Cover; let rise in warm place 30 to 40 minutes or until double in size. Heat oven to 350 degrees.

Uncover dough. In small bowl, stir together egg and water. Brush each piece of dough with egg mixture. Bake 20 to 30 minutes or until golden brown.

Serve warm.

This recipe yields 24 appetizers.

Comments: To reheat buns, wrap in aluminum foil. Bake 10 to 15 minutes or until thoroughly heated. Buns can be frozen. Seal in freezer bags and freeze up to 2 months. Reheat as directed.
