185 | grams | Sultanas |
275 | grams | Unsalted butter |
1 | 400 gram tin sweetened condensed milk | |
275 | millilitres | Water |
60 | grams | Walnuts; chopped |
150 | grams | Plain flour |
150 | grams | Wholemeal self-raising flour |
½ | teaspoon | Bi-carbonate of soda |
60 | grams | Glace cherries; halved |
1 | tablespoon | Orange marmalade |
Directions
1. Place raisins, dates, sultanas, butter, condensed milk and water in a large saucepan and bring to the boil. Simmer gently, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes. Set aside to cool.
2. Pre-heat oven to 180deg.C. Line a 30cm X 20cm cake tin with Glad Bake.
3. Sieve flours and bi-carbobnate of soda into a large mixing bowl. Add fruit mixture with cherries and marmalade and mix well. Spoon into prepared tin and bake about 30-40 minutes or until golden on top and cooked when tested with a wooden skewer. Remove from oven and cool on a wire rack.
