Mom's butter cake

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
6 Eggs, separated
2 cups Sugar
1 cup Butter
cup Flour
1 teaspoon Vanilla
1 cup Milk
2 teaspoons Baking powder

Directions

Beat egg whites and set aside. Cream butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla and baking powder. Add flour and milk alternately. Fold in beaten whites. Bake in a tube pan for 1 hour (or until done) at 325 degrees.
