½ | cup | Sugar |
¼ | cup | Plum Jam |
¼ | cup | Soy Sauce |
¼ | cup | Apple Butter * |
1 | teaspoon | Chili Powder * |
1 | teaspoon | Salt |
¼ | teaspoon | Ground Ginger |
Directions
* The apple butter and chili powder approximate Hoisin Sauce. If Hoisin Sauce is available, use 2 Tbs instead of the apple butter and chili powder.
Wipe pork tenderloin; place in a shallow glass baking dish. Combine all remaining ingredients. Pour over pork, turning each piece until well coated. Cover and refrigerate overnight to marinate. Uncover and roast in a 325 F oven for 50 to 60 mins, turning frequently. Serve hot or cold. Serve thinly sliced as hors d'oeuvres, or part of a Chinese dinner. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
