Ingredients

1 cup Drippings or lard
1 cup Sugar
½ cup Molasses
1 tablespoon Baking soda
1 teaspoon Ginger
1 Egg, beaten
pinch Salt
Flour

Directions

Cream drippings and sugar. Add molasses and egg and beat well. Add baking soda, ginger, salt and enough flour to make a soft dough. drop by spoonfuls on greased baking tin. Bake in a moderate oven for 15-20 minutes.
