Pickled okra - country living

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
2 cups Water
½ cup Cider vinegar
cup Sugar
6 Whole cloves
1 teaspoon Salt
½ teaspoon Cumin seeds
½ teaspoon Celery seeds
½ teaspoon Crushed red pepper
½ pounds Fresh okra

Directions

1. In 2-quart saucepan, heat water, vinegar, sugar, cloves, salt, cumin seeds, celery seeds, and red pepper to boiling.

2. Add okra; boil 3 minutes. Remove from heat and cool to room temperature. Transfer okra and pickling liquid to jar or container; seal. Refrigerate several hours or overnight before serving.
