Quantity Ingredient
1 cup Dry bread crumbs
1 tablespoon Parsley
½ Lemon, grated rind of
1 teaspoon Mixed herbs
cup Butter, melted
Salt and pepper
½ cup Scalding water or milk

Directions

Crumble bread finely, add parsley, lemon rind, herbs, salt and pepper. Melt butter in water or milk and add, mixing well but gently.

Fill the cavity of the bird with the dressing.for turkey, double all the ingredients. Many of the recipes in this collection did not contain amounts or oven temperatures. I have typed them in as they appear in the book, typos and all.
