Ingredients

4 pounds Beef (chuck, blade or round)
2 tablespoons Bacon drippings
¼ teaspoon Salt
¼ teaspoon Black pepper
2 tablespoons Grated lemon rind
cup Diced onion
1 Garlic clove ,sliced
cup Dairy sour cream
6 ounces Cooked noodles -or-
4 Potatoes cooked and cubed

Directions

from: The wonderful World of Cooking Brown meat in drippings Add seasonings, peel, onion and garlic. Pour sour cream over. Cover. Simmer(but do not boil ) for 3½ hours, basting occasionally. Add noodles or potatoes. Cover. Simmer for 20 minutes. serves 6-8
