Quiche honfleur

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell
1 large Onion; sliced thin
1 tablespoon Butter
pounds Cleaned; peeled shrimp
5 Eggs
1 cup Heavy cream
½ teaspoon Salt
teaspoon Nutmeg
3 dashes Cayenne; or so
2 tablespoons Chopped pimento
1 cup Gruyere cheese
¾ cup Sour cream
Bread crumbs

Directions

Spread bread crumbs lightly over bottom of pie crust. Saute onion in butter until golden. Add shrimp & saute very quickly. Put onions & shrimp in pie crust. Mix eggs, cream, salt, nutmeg & cayenne until lightly blended. Add chopped pimento & pour over shrimp & onion. Bake at 350 for about 30-40 minutes or until knife inserted into center comes out clean. Combine Gruyere & sour cream & pour over baked pie, place until broiler until bubbly.
