1⅔ cup Unbleached flour
1 cup Granulated sugar
½ cup Brown sugar -- packed
teaspoon Baking soda
1 teaspoon Salt
½ cup Margarine -- softened
cup Buttermilk* -- at room
Temperature
1 teaspoon Vanilla
2 Egg whites -- whipped
2 ounces Unsweetened baking chocolate
Squares -- melted
Topping----
3 cups Powdered sugar -- sifted
cup Margarine -- softened
teaspoon Vanilla
2 tablespoons Skim milk -- at room

Directions

Preheat oven at 350. Prepare 2 round pans with cooking spray and flour. To prepare cake, combine flour, sugars, baking soda, and salt. In another mixing bowl, combine margarine buttermilk, vanilla, egg whites, and chocolate. Mix dry ingredients with wet ingredients just until moistened.

Pour mixture into prepared pans. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes. Meanwhile, to prepare frosting, combine powdered sugar, margarine, vanilla, and milk until spreading consistency. Fill and frost layers.
