Ingredients

4 tablespoons Butter or margarine
2 Cloves garlic; minced
teaspoon Pepper
tablespoon Prepared mustard
½ cup Chili sauce
1 cup Finely chopped onion
½ teaspoon Salt
tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
teaspoon Sugar
1 pounds Frankfurters or hot dogs

Directions

Cook onion and garlic in butter over low heat until onion is tender (about 10 minutes). Stir frequently to avoid sticking. Add all other ingredients, except hot dogs. Heat until flavors are well blended (about five minutes).

Split hot dogs lengthwise and arrange split side up in shallow pan. (Do not cut all the way through.) Spoon sauce over hot dogs and heat under broiler.

Serve hot on hot dog buns or alone with extra sauce.
