Quantity Ingredient
3 mediums Oranges
3 mediums Pears; cored and sliced
1 cup Maraschino cherries
1 cup Sugar
1 cup Rum

Directions

Peel, section and cut up oranges over bowl to catch juice. In non-metal container combine oranges, pears and cherries. Stir in sugar, add juice from oranges and rum. Cover and refrigerate for 2 weeks. Serve as compote or as topping for ice cream. Source: A slip of paper in an old recipe book of my Dad's. :-) Mistyped by Elizabeth Wood 6/93.
