Seed luncheon loaf

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 pounds Flour
4 ounces Margarine
2 ounces Butter
6 ounces Sugar
2 teaspoons Baking powder
1 teaspoon Caraway seeds
3 ounces Candied peel
2 Eggs
A little milk
¼ teaspoon Salt

Directions

Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Rub in margarine and butter, add sugar, seeds and thinly sliced peel. Add beaten eggs with enough milk to make a light dough. Place in a well-greased loaf pan and bake 1½ hours in a moderate oven (375F).
