Simple oatmeal bread (machine)

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
¾ cup Plus 3 tbsp water
1 tablespoon Butter, margarine, or vegetable oil
1 tablespoon Molasses
1 tablespoon Brown sugar
1 teaspoon Salt
¾ cup Quick cooking oats
cup Unbleached white flour
2 teaspoons Yeast

Directions

HITACHI/REGAL

Place all ingredients into pan according to manufacturer's directions.

Press Start.

**MY NOTES** I tried this using margarine and regular all purpose flour. It comes out a nice brown color, but somehow I thought I would see some oatmeal flakes somewhere in the loaf, but didn't. Tastes great. Makes nice toast and hearty sandwich bread.
