Butter; melted
¼ cup Soft butter
¾ cup Sugar
1 Egg; beaten or 2 egg yolks
teaspoon Grated orange rind
cup Orange juice
cup Milk

ORANGE BUTTER SAUCE

Red Betty Crocker Picture Cookbook, 1950, p. 241 Brush cut sides of wedges of Angel Food cake with melted butter. Lightly brown on each side, about 1 minute, under broiler. Serve with Orange Butter Sauce.

Orange Butter Sauce, p. 254

Cream butter and sugar together. Stir in egg (egg yolks), grated orange rind, orange juice and milk. Cook in a double boiler, over hot water, 10 to 15 minutes. Cool. Makes 1½ cups.
