Strawberry custard

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
¾ cup Sugar
cup All-purpose flour
cup Milk
5 Eggs,beaten
1 tablespoon Orange-flavored liqueur or
2 tsp. vanilla
1 pint Fresh strawberries, hulled, sliced

Directions

Mix sugar and flour in medium saucepan; stir in milk until blended. Cook over medium-high heat, stirring constantly, until thickened. Stir ½ cup milk mixture into eggs, stir egg mixture into milk mixture. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until thickened, about 2 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in liqueur. Cool to room temperature, stirring occasionally.
