Sugar house cookies

1½ | cup | All-purpose flour |
½ | cup | Butter |
1 | cup | Maple syrup |
1 | Egg | |
1 | teaspoon | Salt |
2 | teaspoons | Baking powder |
½ | cup | Seedless raisins |
1½ | cup | Oatmeal |
1 | teaspoon | Nutmeg |
¼ | cup | Milk |
½ | cup | Chopped nuts |
Directions
Place the butter, maple syrup, and egg in a bowl and beat until light and creamy. Sift together the flour, salt and baking powder. Fold in the raisins, oatmeal, and nutmeg.
Add the milk and nuts and blend thoroughly into the creamed mixture.
Drop by spoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet and bake at 375 degrees F. for 15 minutes. Yield: 4-5 dozen.
