Sweet bourekia with manouri

Ingredients

4 Sheets Filo Pastry
300 grams Manouri Soft Cheese
50 grams Icing Sugar } Mixed
50 grams Cinnamon } Together
4 teaspoons Honey
50 grams Toasted Almond Flakes

Directions

1. Place two sheets of filo pastry together by brushing one sheet with vegetable oil and laying the second on top.

2. Cut out six circles and brush oil onto one side.

3. Place 25g of cheese inside each circle and fold over to make a pastie.

Repeat with other two sheets of filo and remaining cheese.

4. Deep fry until hot oil until light brown.

5. Place in the centre of a plate, sprinkle almonds on top, dust with sugar and cinnamon mix and spoon the honey over.
