Sweet cherry strudel

⅔ | cup | Fine dry bread crumbs |
2 | tablespoons | Sugar |
1 | tablespoon | Grated orange peel |
1 | teaspoon | Ground cinnamon |
8 | Fillo strudel leaves | |
½ | cup | Butter, melted |
1 | Whipped cream |
Directions
Combine cherries, crumbs, sugar, orange peel and cinnamon. Set aside.
Unroll fillo leaves and place between waxed paper and under a damp towel to prevent drying. Remove two leaves; place on a sheet of waxed paper. Brush with butter. Add two more leaves; brush with butter.
Place ½ of the filling in a 3" wide strip along the short edge of the fillo leaves. Carefully, roll up, jelly roll fashion. Repeat with remaining fillo leaves and filling. Place both rolls, seam side down, on a greased baking sheet.
Brush with melted butter. Bake @ 425 degrees for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 375 degrees and bake 15 minutes longer or until golden brown.
Cool slightly. Serve with whipped cream. Makes 16 servings.
