Sweet potato spice bread

cup Molasses
cup Honey
cup Sweet potatoes, mashed
cup Oil
2 Eggs -- beaten
½ teaspoon Cinnamon
½ teaspoon Nutmeg
¼ teaspoon Cloves
¼ teaspoon Salt
¼ teaspoon Mace
1 teaspoon Freshly grated ginger
1 cup Flour, whole-grain wheat
1 cup Flour, all-purpose --
Unbleached
1 tablespoon Baking powder
1 cup Walnuts -- or pecans,
Chopped

Directions

Preheat oven to 325F. Oil a 9X5X3 loaf pan.

In a large bowl, blend molasses, honey , sweet potatoes, oil and eggs.

In small bowl, combine remaining ingredients. add to potato mixture and stir until well mixed.

Spoon batter into loaf pan and bake until a toothpick inserted in middle comes out clean - about 1 hour. Turn onto wire rack to cool before slicing.
