Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
2 cups Sugar
½ cup Vinegar
3 tablespoons Butter
1 cup Water
1 teaspoon Vanilla

Directions

Cook sugar, water, vinegar and butter without stirring, to hard-ball stage. Remove from heat, add vanilla, and pour on buttered platter.

Let stand until cool enough to pull. This may be tinted with food coloring.
