Tomato sauce for chiles rellenos

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
3 tablespoons Onion -- finely chopped
2 teaspoons Garlic, minced
1 tablespoon Butter
1 can (15oz) Spanish-style tomato sauce
cup Water
¼ teaspoon Salt
¼ teaspoon Crumbled oregano

Directions

Saute onion and garlic in butter til golden. Stir in tomato sauce, water, salt, and oregano. Simmer for 15 minutes. Serve hot. Makes 2½ cups.
