Treacle scones

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
2 cups Wholewheat flour
2 teaspoons Baking powder
1 pinch Salt
½ teaspoon Cinnamon
½ teaspoon Ginger powder
½ teaspoon Allspice
cup Sugar
¼ cup Shortening
1 tablespoon Molasses
cup Soya milk

Directions

Mix together the dry ingredients in a bowl. Rub in the shortening.

Soften the molasses a little & add it with the soya milk to the dry ingredients to make a fairly soft dough. Turn out onto a floured board & roll out to about ½" thick. Cut into rounds.

Place scones onto a lightly oiled baking sheet & bake at 425F for 10 to 15 minutes.
