Vegetarian rice and beans (tabasco)

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
4 cups Water
2 Vegetable bouillon cubes or 2 teaspoons instant broth granules
2 cups Raw brown rice
1 can Red kidney beans; rinsed and drained
1 large Onion; chopped
1 large Green bell pepper; chopped
1 Jar Original or Spicy TABASCO® 7 Spice Chili Recipe; (16 ounces)
1 teaspoon Ground cumin

Directions

Put water and bouillon cubes in 4-quart heavy-gauge saucepan with lid.

Bring to a boil over high heat. Stir in rice. Return to a boil; add remaining ingredients. Return mixture to a boil; reduce heat to low if cooking over campfire, move to side. Cover and simmer 45 minutes or until liquid is absorbed. Remove from heat and let stand 5 minutes before serving.
