Amish acres bean soup

Ingredients

1 | pounds | Dried Great Northern beans |
1 | Ham bone | |
½ | cup | Chopped onion |
½ | teaspoon | Seasoned salt |
½ | teaspoon | Celery salt |
1 | dash | Garlic salt |
Salt and pepper to taste |
Directions
Soak beans in cold water overnight. Drain. Put in soup kettle and add cold water to cover, about 10-12 cups. Add ham bone and cook slowly for 2 hours.
Remove ham bone and trim meat from bone. Add onion, seasoned salt, celery salt and garlic salt to kettle. Return bone and ham bits to soup kettle.
Simmer for 1 hour. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Makes 3 quarts, serves 8-10.
