Old-fashoned bean soup

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
cup Navy beans
Salt and pepper
3 cups Toasted bread cubes
2 quarts Milk
3 tablespoons Butter
¼ cup Cream

Directions

Soak beans and cook until soft. Add milk and butter, salt and pepper Bring almost to a boil; and just before serving add cream and pour over bread cubes.
