Applesauce-raisin cookies

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
¼ cup Vegetable oil
¼ cup Sugar
1 Egg
1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
½ cup Unsweetened Applesauce
½ cup Whole Wheat Flour
½ cup Unbleached White Flour
2 teaspoons Baking powder
½ teaspoon Baking soda
1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
teaspoon Ground cloves
½ cup Rolled oats
½ cup Raisins

Directions

Cream the oil and sugar together. Add the egg and beat until light.

Blend in the vanilla and applesauce. Stir in the flours, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves, oats and raisins into the creamed mixture. Blend well.

Drop by teaspoonfuls onto lightly-oiled baking sheets. Bake in a 375 F oven for 8-10 min or until lightly browned. Cool on a wire rack.
