Baked apples a l'orange

¼ | cup | Unsweetened apple juice |
¼ | cup | ;water |
1 | tablespoon | Lemon juice |
2 | eaches | Whole cloves |
1 | each | (4-inch) stick cinnamon; broken in half |
⅓ | cup | Reduced-calorie orange marmalade |
6 | smalls | Gingersnap cookies; crushed |
Directions
Core apples to within ½ inch from bottom; peel top third of each apple. Place apples in a 12" x 8" x 2" baking dish; add apple juiceand next 4 ingredients. Bake, uncovered, at 350F for 30 minutes, basting often with cooking liquid. Remove apples from oven; spoon equal amounts of marmalade into center of each apple, and sprinkle with gingersnap crumbs. Bake an additional 5 minutes or until apples are done.
Yield: 6 servings. (127 calories per serving.) :0.9g protein, 1.9g fat, 29g carbohydrate, 3mg cholesterol, 14mg sodium, and 36mg calcium
