Burtoni's marinara sauce - owensboro

3 | tablespoons | Olive oil |
1 | can | (16 oz) stewed tomatoes; drained and mashed |
1 | can | (16 oz) tomato sauce |
1 | can | (6 oz) tomato paste |
1 | tablespoon | To 2 tb sugar |
1 | pounds | Thin spaghetti |
Parmesan cheese; freshly grated |
Directions
Saute garlic and spices in olive oil for 2 to 3 minutes. Add stewed tomatoes, tomato sauce, and tomato paste; stir. Add sugar; stir well.
Simmer 30 minutes. While sauce is simmering, bring 4 quarts of salted water to boil; add
spahetti and cook until firm. Drain. Serve spaghetti with sauce on top; sprinkle with cheese.
