Butternut maple pecan buns

-Cream: 1/2 cup of shortening. Add 1/2 cup of sugar scant. Add: 3 cups unsifted flour and 1 tsp. salt. Then add
1 cup Warm water and 1 yeast cake. Mix all together. Add 1 beaten egg, beat well. Put in ice box overnight. Three hours before serving grease muffin tins. put in each one, 1 tsp. brown or maple sugar, a little butter and butternuts or pecans. Then drop in a good teaspoon of dough. Let rise. Bake 12 to 15 minutes in a 375 oven. Or: 1/4 cup broken butternut or pecan meats may be stirred together. Drop 1/2 tsp. of mixture on a cookie sheet and cut out dough with a biscuit cutter and place over the nut mixture. Serve them bottom side up.
