Canned beans in tomato sauce
1 Servings
Ingredients
Quantity | Ingredient | |
---|---|---|
1 | can | Beans in tomato sauce |
⅓ | cup | Ketchup (about 3 kat-schlup-zlzlzlzlz's if you don't measure) |
1 | tablespoon | Dijon mustard |
1 | tablespoon | Fancy molasses (not sulfer or blackstrap; otherwise you'll hate me) |
2 | tablespoons | Sugar |
3 | drops | Liquid hickory smoke , more or less |
Directions
Drain, but don't rinse beans and put them in your bean pot or whatever.
Then mix remaining ingredients. Stir this all in to the beans, and put the thing in the microwave, heat it on top of the stove, or bake at 300 degrees until it's hot (20 minutes or so).
This same sauce is excellent over phoney m**t-loaf or m**t-like burgers, but cook it first...it's not so great in its raw state.
