Green beans in tomato sauce

1 | large | Onion, chopped fine |
1 | small | Can tomato sauce |
4 | slices | Bacon |
2 | cans | #303 cut green beans |
Salt & pepper to taste |
Directions
Cut bacon into ½" strips, fry until almost crisp, drain, leaving just enough to saute onion until almost clear, while bacon finishes cooking. Add beans, tomato sauce, salt, pepper, and enough bean liquid to just cover beans. Cover and cook ½ hr. Remove cover and simmer until sauce becomes thick.
