Caramel popcorn with peanuts

Ingredients

7 | quarts | Popped popcorn |
2 | quarts | Peanuts |
1 | Box box brown sugar | |
2 | Sticks butter or margarine | |
½ | cup | Light corn syrup |
1 | teaspoon | Salt |
1 | teaspoon | Vanilla |
¼ | teaspoon | (heaping) baking soda |
Directions
Combine sugar, syrup, butter & salt in saucepan & bring to a boil. Boil for 5 minutes. Remove from heat & add vanilla & soda. Stir well. Pour over corn & stir to coat. Sprinkle peanuts over corn & bake at 250 for 1 hour. Stir twice. Remove from oven & pour onto waxed paper. Separate kernels.
