Chili pork chops

6 | eaches | Pork chops cut about 1/4 inch thick, trimmed of fat. |
1 | teaspoon | Watkins beef soup mix |
¼ | teaspoon | Black pepper |
1 | can | (10-3/4oz) tomato soup, undiluted |
1 | can | (15oz) kidney beans, undrained |
1 | cup | Quick cooking rice |
½ | cup | Coarsely chopped onion |
2 | tablespoons | Watkins chili seasoning mix |
½ | teaspoon | Garlic powder |
6 | eaches | Green pepper rings |

Directions
Heat the 2 tbsp vegetable oil in large oven'proof skillet; brown pork chops on both sides. Remove chops and sprinkle with beefsoup mix and pepper. Combine soup, beans, rice, onion, chili seasoning, and garlic powder in skillet or in 11x7 inch baking dish. Place pork chops over soup mixture. Cover and bake at 325F for 45-55 minutes or until chops are tender. Top each chop with a green pepper ring that has been brushed with oil the last 10 minutes of baking time. Makes 6 servings.
