Cholent kugel

3 | Onions; finely chopped | |
8 | tablespoons | Oil |
2 | tablespoons | Margarine |
1½ | cup | Self-rising flour |
1 | Egg | |
½ | teaspoon | Salt |
1 | dash | Pepper |
1 | Cooking bag |
Directions
Saute onions in oil and margarine. In a large bowl, put flour, fried onion (including oil), egg, salt and pepper. Mix and knead dough. It should be fairly elastic. If necessary add a few teaspoonsful of water. Put mixture into cooking bag and shape into a log. Punch a few holes into the bag and add to the cholent. When serving cholent, remove kugel from bag and serve separately, sliced.
