Chunky garden-tomato sauce

Ingredients

1 tablespoon Olive oil
1 cup Chopped onion
4 Cloves garlic, minced
cup Chopped seeded tomato
¼ cup Chopped fresh basil
2 tablespoons Chopped fresh oregano
1 teaspoon Sugar
½ teaspoon Salt
¼ teaspoon Pepper

Directions

Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add onion and garlic; saute 3 minutes. Add remaining ingredients, and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat, and simmer 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve over pasta or polenta, or on crostini.
