Ingredients

2 Sticks oleo
½ cup Sugar
2 teaspoons Vanilla
½ teaspoon Salt
cup Flour
2 cups Pecans; finely chopped
Powdered sugar to roll cocoons in

Directions

Cream shortening, sugar and vanilla; add flour and salt; blend thoroughly.

Add pecans. Shape into 1" ovals. Bake 20 minutes, or less, at 375F until very lightly browned. Roll in confectioners sugar immediately. Cool completely, store in covered container packing confectioners sugar around the cookies.
