1 | cup | Coke -- (cola) |
3 | tablespoons | Cocoa |
½ | cup | Buttermilk or sour milk |
2 | Eggs -- beaten | |
1 | teaspoon | Baking Soda |
1 | teaspoon | Vanilla |
1½ | cup | Miniature marshmallows |
½ | cup | Oleo -- (margarine) |
3 | tablespoons | Cocoa |
6 | tablespoons | Coke |
1 | pounds | Powdered sugar -- (3 1/2 C |

1 | cup | Chopped nuts |
Directions
FROSTING
Preheat oven to 350~. In a large bowl combine flour and sugar. In a saucepan heat oleo and coke; pour over flour mixture mixing well.
(use same pan for frosting) Add buttermilk or sour milk, beaten eggs, soda, vanilla and marshmallows, beating until combined.
(marshmallows will float to the top but will melt during cooking) Pour into a 10 x 15 or 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 350~ for 35 minutes.
Frosting: Start 10 minutes before cake is done. In the same pan heat to boiling oleo, cocoa and coke. Remove from heat and add powdered sugar beating with an electric mixer until well combined. Stir in chopped nuts and spread on hot cake.
