Cornbread & sausage stuffing

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
4 cups Boiling water
4 cups Cornbread, broken up
1 Onion, grated
1 cup Diced celery
2 Eggs, beaten
½ cup Melted butter
Salt and pepper
cup Sausage
3 Dozen chestnuts (optional)

Directions

Pour boiling water over bread and squeeze out fairly dry. Add remaining ingredients except sausage and mix well. Brown sausage and add to stuffing. Use for stuffing pork, lamb, or as a side dish for you main meal. Submitted By MICHELLE BRUCE On 11-22-94
