Cream of celery soup

cup Chopped onion
½ teaspoon Salt
1 cup Water
cup Milk
½ cup Milk
3 tablespoons All-purpose flour
½ teaspoon Salt
teaspoon White pepper
2 tablespoons Butter

Directions

Cook 1½ cups chopped celery, ⅓ cup chopped onion, and ½ teaspoon salt in 1 cup water, covered, about 15 minutes or till tender. Do not drain. Add 2 ½ cups milk. Blend ½ cup milk, 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour, ½ teaspoon salt, and ⅛ teaspoon white pepper; add to celery mixture. Cook and stir till bubbly. Stir in 2 tablespoons butter. Season. Serves 6.
