Cresecent cookies

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 cup Butter (or marg.); softened
½ cup Sugar
2 teaspoons Vanilla extract; OR
½ teaspoon Almond extract
1 tablespoon Water
cup Flour, all-purpose
1 cup Pecans; chopped or almonds
1 teaspoon Red food coloring
Sugar

Directions

Combine butter, sugar, vanilla, water and flour; blend well. Add nuts and food coloring. Chill for several hours.

Shape into crescents or half-moons. Place on greased cookie sheets and bake at 300 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. Do not let cookies brown. Roll in white or colored sugar.
