Custardy chicken bake

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
6 Chicken breast halves or thighs
2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
½ teaspoon Salt
¼ teaspoon Pepper
cup Bisquick baking mix
1 teaspoon Dried tarragon leaves
½ teaspoon Salt
cup Milk
3 Eggs
Mushroom Sauce #2; see recipe

Directions

Heat oven to 350 degrees.

Grease baking dish, 13x9x2 inches.

Heat oil in skillet.

Fry chicken until light golden brown.

Place chicken, skin side up, in dish.

Sprinkle with ½ Tsp. salt and the pepper.

Beat baking mix, tarragon, ½ Tsp. salt, the milk and eggs with hand beater until smooth.

Pour over chicken. Bake until golden brown, 55 to 60 minutes.

Serve with Mushroom Sauce #2.

Makes 4 to 6 servings.
