Decorative icing (wedding) - house beautiful

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
cup To 1 1/2 C confectioners' sugar
teaspoon Cream of tartar
1 Egg white
Water

Directions

*It is best to prepare this icing just prior to using it.

In a small mixing bowl combine sugar and cream of tartar. Add the egg white with a hand mixer on low speed, mix for 3 minutes, or until the icing is bright white and the consistency of very softly whipped cream. If the icing is too thick, add a few drops of water. If the icing is too thin add confectioners' sugar.

Keep unused icing covered with a damp towel when not in use.
