Diabetic fluffy dumplings

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 cup All purpose flour
2 teaspoons Baking powder
½ teaspoon Salt
1 tablespoon Margerine or butter
cup Milk

Directions

Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles fine crumbs. Add milk, stir until just moistened. Divide into 6 portions and spoon onto bubbling stew, soup or meat mixture.

Cover tightly and simmer 15 minutes without lifting lid.

Makes 6 small dumplings 1 serving = 1 dumpling : 1 starchy choice
