Ingredients

½ | cup | Butter |
¼ | cup | Plus 2 tbsp sugar |
¼ | cup | Plus 2 tbsp brown sugar |
1 | teaspoon | Vanilla extract |
1 | each | Egg |
1 | cup | All purpose flour |
½ | teaspoon | Baking soda |
½ | teaspoon | Salt |
½ | cup | Coarsely chopped walnuts |
6 | ounces | Semisweet chocolate chips |
Directions
Grease and flour a 9x13 inch pan. In a large bowl cream the butter, sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla. Beat in the egg. In a separate bowl sift together the flour, soda, and salt. Blend the dry ingredients into the creamed mixture, and add the nuts. Spread the batter into the prepared pan, and sprinkle chocolate chips over the top. Bake in a 375F oven for 1 minutes, remove, and score with a knife to creat a marbled effect. Return to the oven and bake for 13-16 minutes, or until golden brown. Serves 12.
