Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 a few drops herbsaint or pernod
ounce whiskey or rye
ounce simple syrup
4.00 ounce peychaud bitters
2.00 ounce angostura bitters
1 ice cubes
1 lemon twist

Directions

In a 9-ounce glass swirl a few drops Herbsaint until glass is coated; discard any extra. In a cocktail shaker combine whiskey, syrup and bitters; fill with ice cubes. Shake vigorously until chilled; strain into prepared glass. Serve garnished with lemon twist. This recipe yields 1 eye opener.
