Fettucine alfredo - ff

Ingredients

½ | pounds | Noodles, 1/4-inch wide |
¼ | pounds | Unsalted butter; melted |
1 | cup | Heavy cream; warmed |
¾ | cup | Parmesan cheese; freshly grated |
Salt to taste | ||
¼ | teaspoon | Freshly ground pepper |
Directions
Have a large bowl warmed and ready before you cook the noodles.
[Cook the noodles according to package directions.] Drain the cooked noodles and put them into the bowl. Quickly add remaining ingredients, tossing briskly to coat all the noodles, and serve at once.
Variation: Noodles with poppy seeds. Omit the Parmesan cheese and add 3 tablespoons poppy seeds.
