12.00 ounce Beer
1.00 medium Onion, chopped
1.00 Dash pepper
1.00 tablespoon Butter or margarine
½ teaspoon Garlic salt

Directions

Place bratwursts, beer, onion, pepper, and garlic salt, in a 3-quart saucepan. Simmer for 20 minutes. Drain. Grill bratwursts 2 to 5 inches from charcoal about 10 minutes, until browned. Sprinkle with water to form a crisp skin. Serve in hard rolls with Dusseldorf-style mustard, or as main meat.
