Fried bread puffs (sopaipillas)

2 | tablespoons | Lard |
2 | cups | Flour |
2 | teaspoons | Baking powder |
1 | teaspoon | Salt |
⅔ | cup | Lukewarm water |

Directions
Cut lard into flour, powder and salt completely. Sprinkle in water, 1 Tbls. at a time, tossing with fork until all flour is moistened and dough almost cleans side of bowl. Gather dough into ball. Cover and refrigerate 30 minutes. Heat oil (1-2") to 400 degrees. Roll dough on lightly floured surface into rectangle, 12x10. Cut into rectangles, 3x2. Fry 3-4 at a time until puffed and golden, turning once, 2 minutes. Drain on paper towels. File
